Something is happening here!
Well a lot of things actually. And I will have an update and the link to download an e-arc momentarilly.
Which leads to the problem: I’m sure, absolutely sure some people took or attempted to take advantage of my offer to renew any paid subscriptions that lapsed in the last year, because I didn’t give you much all year. (That part is getting fixed. Thyroid prescription went up to double. It’s… better.) I saw some emails come up, but since then my email seems to have hidden those completely.
So, the important part of this post: I can’t find any of the emails from people wanting their subscription renewed free to make up for my spectacular non performance in the last year or so.
I have no idea how or where they disappeared. BUT here’s the thing. I have an email that’s used for people to send me books to pimp. If you send it there and (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) put in 3 things.
1- Free substack — in the subject line
2 - WHICH of the substacks: Chapter house or Schrodinger path. — in the body of the message.
3 - What email I should use for you.
I should very much be able to get you hooked up.
That email is: bookpimping at outlook dot com
And I’m so sorry to make you do it again. This is a confluence of my health having got yet more bizarre after the last post, and my being technologically declined, so I didn’t figure out how to subscribe you right away AND now I can’t figure out what the email did with it.
A quick bit on the health: I haven’t posted because it seems embarrassing to say “Yep, still sick.” BUT it is indeed much better.
Also the book is finished, and I’ll be releasing it in three e-arcs. One is available right now, one comes out in two weeks, and then the final two weeks after that. Each is the size of a normal novel, but they are not stand alone. They are all, in fact, part of one book, No Man’s Land. So it will be published as volume 1, volume 2 and volume 3. Yes, there will be a “complete” omnibus at the end, but the print version of that will be “for thirty and under only” as it will be a massive book with small print. Hence the three volumes, for normal people with normal eyes.
Anyway, this is just to ask you to please re-send your request for me to give you back your lapsed subscription for another year.
Thank you.
"Something went wrong" sounds like a great start to a novel, or an explanation to every Soviet experiment.
